There is a wide selection of non-standard foods - far wider selection than what one would normally think of in terms of organic, GF, and lactose free, especially for such a small town. The shop owners and staff are very easy to talk with and knowledgable. Many local products on offer as well. Prices can be higher for some items, but many items are as cheap or cheaper than in town, and those that are not are often cheaper than the cost of fuel to get to the bigger centers anyway.

Good selection of groceries with lots of alternative brands and more health conscious and hard to find products. Expect slightly higher prices but enjoy the great selection and friendly staff in more remote place such as Salmo!
